KINGS PARK, NY, April 2005 - All Island Mason Supply, Inc. has always believed in giving back to its local communities. This conviction was once again demonstrated when All Island donated building materials and supplies to ABC TV's "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" to benefit a local St. James, Long Island family.

On March 16, 2005, the crew from ABC-TV's popular series “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” awakened the Vitale family with its trademark megaphone yell, “Good Morning Vitale Family,” a wake-up call like no other! Thanks to the team of Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, Alure Home Improvement, All Island Mason Supply, Inc. and others, the Vitale family – Father John and his 3 sons all under the age of 4; Jack, Adrian and Luke were the surprised recipients of a one week home renovation.

John Vitale and his wife Ann Marie had decided to move out of their small, two-bedroom home and into Anne-Marie’s parents’ house while they put an addition onto their home to accommodate their quickly growing family. Shortly after they moved their family out Anne-Marie, at only 28 years old, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia. In March 2004, Ann Marie spent 7 weeks in the hospital getting chemotherapy. For six out of the seven weeks she was not able to see her children. Within 3 weeks after being released from the hospital the cancer had returned and another round of chemotherapy was needed. Ann Marie past on August 3rd, 2004. She was buried on what would have been her 29th birthday.

John and his three boys have remained at his in-laws house up until now. Thanks to “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition” the family returned on March 23rd to a brand new home which was spectacular. The show will air on Sunday, May 15th at 8:00 pm.

"It is integral to be a good corporate citizen, and this show provided us that opportunity.  To brighten the future of the Vitale family could not have been an easier decision. As a Suffolk County Police Officer John gives puts his life on the line for our community, it was the least we could do for him,” Michael Nasti, President of All Island Mason Supply, Inc. said.

On any project designers and contractors need to be assured that the materials needed would be on site, on schedule and high quality so that the job could be done right, on time, the first time. This Extreme project is no different and our reputation of working with builders and contractors, meeting their needs in a timely fashion and having a variety of in-stock supplies made us a reliable choice.
